Menard Cambodia started its first participation in a big construction exhibition (Cambuild) in Cambodia that took place on 16-18 November 2022. During this 3-day exhibition event, Menard Cambodia’s team including our Country Manager Julien Devynck, Site Manager Ion Iachim, and local office staff. We introduced the soil improvement technology of Menard to the visitors and discussed foundation and soil issues raised by them. Menard Cambodia promoted the benefits of ground improvement. For instance, the event participants were provided with information regarding ground improvement technology that has not been widely used in Cambodia.

Cambuild is Cambodia’s biggest international building, construction, and M&E industry show. The aim is to meet the kingdom’s growing demand for innovative technology, equipment, and supplies, in line with the infrastructure and construction sector’s rapid expansion. Moreover, thhis event has successfully created a networking hub for solution providers and the construction industry.

CAMBUILD has given us valuable time to introduce our technology to prospective clients and local corporations that do not know much about ground improvement technology. The visitors were excited to listen and discuss with our team. Additionally, they were very keen to learn more about our technology. Menard Cambodia introduced a solution that will help clients to cut down foundation construction costs and enable faster construction production without generating any spoil if compared with a conventional foundation (e.g., bored pile).

We have displayed our Controlled Modulus Column (CMC) machine which aims to let visitors know about the machine we use. Controlled Modulus Column was invented by Menard in the 1990s as a cost-effective alternative to conventional techniques. Furthermore, it increases the stiffness of the treated soil mass by allowing effective load sharing between the soils and the columns. CMC is applicable to almost any type of soil, including soils with significant organic content (peat, organic clays) and well adapted to high uniform surface loading with strict settlement requirements.
