Project Overview
Menard was responsible for design and installation of Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) and Prefabricated Horizontal Drain (PHD). In addition of the ground improvement works, Menard has carried out pre-drilling to enable the installation of Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) and also settlement monitoring.
Soil Condition
The area was previously a rice field and mangrove area that had been backfilled. An hard layer from the surface up to -4 m was identified and pre-drilled for Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) installation. Saturated clay and brown peat were localized on site.

Menard Asia’s solution is ground consolidation by using Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) and Prefabricated Horizontal Drain (PHD).
